North American Bear Weekend is excited to announce we will be returning to Marriott Griffin Gate Resort & Spa! This beautiful 7-story hotel just completed a massive multi-million dollar renovation…and is BEAUTIFUL. There’s a steakhouse, 2 lounge/bars, a seasonal diner and a coffee shop. Other amenities consist of indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a spa, a fitness center, a golf course and sports courts. There is also 28,000 sq ft of event space, including a ballroom and a mansion.

We, and the staff at Marriott are ecstatic to have our event at their hotel in February. We know you will love this beautiful hotel.

We are pleased to introduce Connections Housing as the official housing company for North American Bears Weekend. To receive the official group rate, attendees must book their hotel accommodations through Connections Housing using the hotel booking link provided after event registration. Reservations made outside of the official housing process will not qualify for the group rate or event-related hotel benefits.

DEPOSIT INFORMATION

NOTE – a 1 night non-refundable deposit equal to $197.32 will be assessed starting Dec 1, 2026. This deposit is for your first night’s room & tax, and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The deposit cannot be applied to future stays or stays at other Marriott Hotels. Should your card decline, the hotel will reach out to you a maximum of 2 (two) times to obtain a valid method of payment. Failure to respond or provide a valid method of payment will result in full cancellation of your reservation, without promise of reinstatement. You will receive an email from: adam.garrett@marriott.com should your card decline.

NIGHTLY INCIDENTALS POLICY

The host hotel will authorize $25 for incidentals for each night of your stay. This is in addition to the nightly fee mentioned above. Please plan accordingly.

*** HOTEL BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS ***

Attendees must be registered for North American Bears Weekend before booking a hotel room in the event room block. Once registered, attendees will receive the hotel booking link in their Eventbrite registration confirmation email. This process helps ensure fair access to rooms for all registered attendees and helps prevent rooms from being held and later released unnecessarily.
